PROFOR supported and participated in several panel discussions during the International Conference on Forests for Food Security and Nutrition, held at FAO, May 13-15, 2013. The conference was attended by representatives of government, civil society, private sector, academia and regional and international organizations from about 100 countries

  • May 14, 10-12, Green room -- PROFOR's Manager Peter Dewees talked about data challenges during a panel discussion on Policy and institutional challenges.
  • May 14, 14-15:30, Red room -- PROFOR's Diji Chandrasekharan Behr talked about national benefit sharing strategies during a panel discussion on Innovative policies and institutional practices.
  • May 14, 17-18:30, German room -- Peter Dewees joined IUCN's Chris Buss to discuss the ecosystem dimensions of food security.
