INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE IN FOREST MANAGEMENT IN COUNTRIES WITH TRANSITION ECONOMIES

This Workshop, held in Moscow, on 25 February, provided an opportunity for decision-makers within the Russian forest sector and transition countries to benefit from the experience of other transition countries. The Workshop was held in parallel to the All-Russia Forestry Congress, a gathering of some 5,000 foresters from across Russia that culminated in a plenary meeting at the State Kremlin Palace. The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and the World Bank organized the Workshop with support from the Programme on Forests (PROFOR). Summary report of the workshop proceedings
