POVERTY-FOREST LINKAGES TOOLKIT TO BE PILOTED IN FOUR AFRICAN COUNTRIES

Sub Title:
March 2007

The Poverty-Forests Linkages Toolkit will be piloted in four African countries - Cameroon, Ghana, Madagascar and Uganda. Over the course of 18 months, beginning in March 2007, a consortium of national level organizations led by the International Institute for Economic Development and the Center for International Development and Training will carry out the pilots. This process will provide useful data and indicators for policy decisions, which can be easily understood by local people, district officials and national policy-makers. It will also contribute to refining the toolkit for future use around the world. More background on the Toolkit.
